Your TikTok clip.
Saved on your iPhone.
An MP4 can land in Files or Photos depending on how you save it. Here is how to find it and what to try when the share sheet does not offer Save Video.
Paste a TikTok link ↗Save with Safari and the share sheet
- In TikTok, open a public video you own or have permission to download. Tap Share, then Copy link.
- Open clippytag.com in Safari. Paste the link and select Download without watermark.
- When the MP4 is ready, tap Save / share video. Choose Save Video if iOS offers it.
- Open Photos and look for the saved clip. Menu options vary by iOS version and file compatibility.
If the video downloads into Files
Select Download MP4 and confirm the download. Open Safari’s downloads list or the Files app and locate the MP4 in Downloads. Open the file, tap Share and choose Save Video when available. Keep the file if Photos cannot import it.
If an in-app browser blocks saving
Copy the page address and open it directly in Safari. Some browsers inside social apps limit file downloads and sharing. You do not need to install another app or give ClippyTag your TikTok password.
Keep ClippyTag on your Home Screen
In Safari, open the Share menu and choose Add to Home Screen if available. This adds a shortcut to the web tool; downloads still require an internet connection.
If Save Video is missing
Try Download MP4 or the direct MP4 link in the result. Check that you have storage space and that the file plays. A format that Files can store may still be unsupported by Photos. If the source has expired, paste the original TikTok link again.
Add captions or your handle afterward
Select Add signature & captions in the download result to transfer the clip to the editor. The transfer stays in this browser. Editor exports require sign-in and a supported video/audio encoding path; see export troubleshooting if an edited MP4 fails.
